​Be a spokesperson for the new service. Lead, develop and supervise team members to deliver project aims. Raise awareness and build relationships with disabled individuals, their carers and families and also with referral agencies including health and social care colleagues.  Self motivated, driven and up for the challenge?

Managed by Disabled Persons Housing Service (Fife) the new independent living project will be part of our existing self directed support options delivery and joins the well established housing options service.
 
The new project work will primarily assist eligible individuals in exploring their potential in becoming employers of their own Personal Assistant (P.A.) or support/care staff to live independently (Self Directed Support Option 1 or as part of a mixed selection Option 4).   The aim is for an increase in skills, knowledge and confidence in employing support staff/PAs.  In addition the project will also support existing PA/staff employers who need information, advice and support for them to manage their employer responsibilities. 

Fixed Term Contract to 31 March 2018 and subject to funder review for on going funding.  Supported via funding by Fife Health & Social Care Partnership and Support in The RIght Direction (Scottish Government).
 
Post requires individual  who can work in a sensitive and confidential environment and is comfortable communicating with people.
