care and repair

Fife Care and Repair was established in 1995 and offers independent advice and assistance to help older home owners repair and improve their home so they can remain comfortably at home in their own community.

Care and Repair does not employ trades people or pay for the work but assists and advises with all other aspects including paperwork, liaising with contractors and applying for local authority grants.

This service is available to owner-occupiers and private tenants aged over 60 or over 50 with a disability.

In addition to Care and Repair, a Small Repairs Service is also available. The Small Repairs Service allows early intervention, preventing minor repairs from becoming major problems. The labour is provided free of charge and the clients only pay a small charge towards the cost of repairs. Please note this service cannot deal with emergency repairs.
