By completing a DPHR and submitting it to us, you are taking the first step towards assistance with housing information
and advice. You may currently have made no housing applications, some housing applications, or many. You may have
particular housing need - for a specific type of house, or a particular area. In addition to checking that you have
submitted all of the relevant housing application forms, we will check certain factors to ensure that your situation
is appreciated by the housing provider - whether that be disability and illness points, support, or the need for a care package
to be put in place. We can also ask if you would like to be considered for any adapted properties which become available,
or to be referred for new developments.
Full housing options information is provided by DPHS(F) which
means we can provide information of all sorts of housing - private landlords, shared equity, etc as well as advising about
routes for adaptations, grants, etc.
If at any time we become aware of any other services who may be able to help your
situation then we may suggest referring you to another service.
Once we receive your DPHR we will then be in touch to
suggest any next steps that you might take to improve your housing situation.
